Quickly Filter Your Data Through The Type To Filter Box

If you want to quickly filter list pages to show you just the records that you are interested in then Dynamics AX provides a Type to Filter option on almost all of the main forms. All you need to do is type in what you are looking for, and it will do the rest for you.
Getting rid of all the data that you don’t want has never been so easy.
How To Do It…
To filter your data, start off by clicking on the combo box to the right of the Type to Filter field, and selecting the field that you would like to filter on. All of the fields that are shown on the list page will be listed here.
Then just select the Type to Filter field either by clicking on it with the mouse, or by using the SHIFT+F3 shortcut key, and then type in the key words that you want to filter your current list page on.
As soon as you press the Enter key, your view will be filtered, and return all records where the field contains your filter term.
Note: You won’t have to type in any wild cards or use any placeholders in the search
How simple is that?
